Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Clear & Legible Reporting Clerk (Chaser): $18- $19 per hour
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.
Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Clear & Legible Reporting Clerk (Chaser) Responsibilities Include:
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the MTF, clinics, and staff.
  • Process clinical results daily, uploading them into the appropriate record via MHS GENESIS.
  • Send a communication to the PCM/referring provider through MHS GENESIS notifying them that the results are available for review.
  • Review and disposition referrals accordingly in MHS GENESIS.
  • Research and request replacement documents for partial results and those missing a second identifier.
  • Will research all referrals that are open on days 50, 120, and 180 using MHS GENESIS and the Managed Care Support Contractors website.
  • At day 120, if there is no claim, notify the PCM/referring provider that the referral was not utilized via appropriate means
  • Close referrals in accordance with facility guidelines
  • Capture Health effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) on all results meeting criteria during processing.
  • Adhere to all requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Document their work appropriately in required systems.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Clear & Legible Reporting Clerk (Chaser) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • HIPAA - working knowledge
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties and answer telephones
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills
  • Computer operations, including operational skills with Microsoft applications (Windows, Word, Excel)
  • Personnel shall understand the importance of meeting deadlines

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, written/verbal & electronic communication.
  • Operational computer skills with general working knowledge of word processing, and Microsoft applications (including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Possess or complete the Privacy Act and HIPAA, Data Safeguarding, Anti-Terrorism, and Interacting with
  • Government Employees, MHS GENESIS appointment booking, and policy training in a trainer-to-trainer format.
  • Possess or complete TRICARE online training and have a solid understanding of the TRICARE online appointment and referral process.
  • Possess or complete MHS GENESIS Revenue Cycle and scheduling training.
  • Possess or complete training on the MHS GENESIS referral management function and the MHS GENESIS appointing function
  • Possess or complete training on the secure messaging platform and be capable of managing inbox volume.
  • Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
