JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible to assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients following established standards and practices of the Medical Director. This includes, but is not limited to, patient assessment and vital signs, along with documentation, faxing, copying, and mailing records, completion of forms, scheduling of tests for patients and per-certifying patient visits/testing/medications. Clerical support registering of patients, charging and initiation and maintenance of electronic health records. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures
Requirements Include
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years clerical and clinical experience required.
  • Previous experience in registration, medical records and payers preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.- Ability to escort or transport a patient by wheelchair, when appropriate.
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
