Job description

NWOS is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team in a part-time, 24-hour-per-week role. This position is responsible for coordinating the credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging processes for all NWOS medical providers. The Credentialing Specialist will maintain accurate and up-to-date provider and facility information within credentialing databases and online systems, ensuring timely renewals of licenses, certifications, and other required credentials.

This is NOT a remote position but has the potential to develop into a flexible, hybrid schedule.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers and NWOS locations.
  • Assists in provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of current health plan and payer requirements for credentialing providers and NWOS locations.
  • Uses online data management and application processes.
  • Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
  • Assists in tracking license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
  • Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities.
  • Assists in tracking license, DEA and professional liability expirations for appointed ASC providers.
  • Maintains ASC appointment files, and information in credentialing database.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous credentialing experience
  • Experience in compliance, billing/coding office administration  
  • Medical office experience preferred

WAGE RANGE:  $20.50 to $‎37.12

SHIFT: 3 days per week. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm OR 8:30- 5:00 pm
