We are looking for personal care assistants to support elderly clients as well as, physically or mentally challenged clients in their everyday lives. The fulfillment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job.

If you’re a compassionate, positive person who isn’t afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care needs (such as dressing, grooming, using the bathroom, bathing/showering, walking/transferring)
  • Medication administration (following medication training class and nurse delegation under the supervision of the Nurse Manager)
  • Assist with resident meals, including serving, dining room setup/clean up
  • Provide light housekeeping assistance (dusting, taking out garbage, laundry, making beds, vacuuming)
  • Answer resident call lights promptly and assists as needed
  • Promote teamwork and have a positive attitude
  • Enjoys providing residents with outstanding customer service
  • Provide emotional support
  • Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
