Nuclear Surety Mechanical Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a new mechanical engineer, you know that your ability to apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics and materials science principles to analyze complex systems is important. But you have what it takes to support the Air Force in analyzing the most complex mechanical safety issues across the myriad of weapon systems for which the Air Force is responsible. We are looking for a mechanical engineer like you to understand weapon systems and use that understanding to ensure that those systems remain safe and secure in an exciting, dynamic environment.
As a mechanical engineer at Booz Allen, you will apply basic principles, theories, and concepts of analysis, solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity, and work under direct supervision.
On our team, you'll learn about multiple weapon systems, both current and future. You'll impact the Air Force by finding evidence of potential nuclear surety impacts on weapon systems. This is a chance to grow your general understanding of mechanical engineering in the defense world while gaining experience in weapon systems.

You Have:
  • Experience with analysis of mechanical systems in professional or academic environments
  • Knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering principles
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team including client
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a mechanical field

  • Experience designing mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of ASME, ISO, or military mechanical engineering standards
  • Possession of good verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
