The Role
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of Enso Village's facilities. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and responding to repair requests to maintain a comfortable and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Position Duties:
  • Performs skilled maintenance and repairs to the facility, including mechanical equipment, painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving/arranging furniture or materials.
  • Follows standard operating procedures; installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
  • Maintains all tools and equipment in clean, good working order; follows preventive maintenance schedule, documents activities, and completes reports as required.
  • Actively performs preventive maintenance across the Enso Village campus, executing work orders as required.
  • Inspects and maintains emergency power equipment, test/start generator(s); maintains fire alarm system to include testing, inspecting fire doors, audible/visible alarms, and smoke detectors, recording data on appropriate forms as required by facility, state, and county.
  • Participates in disaster preparedness training. Conducts periodic fire and emergency drills.
  • Performs regular interior and exterior inspections of Enso Village campus and immediately reports any safety or security concerns.
  • Monitors pool equipment and pool water quality.
  • Performs floor care that consists of extracting and /or shampooing carpets, spot removing stains, buffing floors, stripping /scrubbing and refinishing floors.
  • Clean and disinfect following infection control protocol and standards.
  • Empty and clean waste receptacles.
  • Assists with set up/tear down for meetings and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma (or GED), trade school required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in facility maintenance. Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trade.
  • Ability to safely address and resolve routine maintenance, repair and installation in general carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor electrical, etc. Knowledge of building codes and fire, life and safety system requirements are required.
  • Excellent customer service, time management and interpersonal skills required.
  • Prior experience executing work orders using software systems such as WorxHub.
  • Experience working effectively with a multi-cultural population.
  • Possession of a valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, climb and balance.
  • Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull and hold up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and balance.

Compensation and Benefits:
Enso Village is committed to equal pay and transparency. The salary range for this position is $28.00 -$33.00 per hour. This salary range provided as a general guideline and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors, including candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, external non-profit market data, and business considerations.
