Most part-time workers in this field perform scheduled maintenance duties during regular hours, but you may also remain on call to handle repairs when problems arise. You focus on the maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Some technicians also handle painting, locksmithing, and carpentry tasks and maintain lighting and security systems. You can also coordinate with third-party service providers for specific repair or renovation projects.
