Job description

Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. seeks a Part-Time MAP Registered Nurse to join our team and carry out a variety of nursing duties designed to facilitate the overall growth of the children and adolescents in our care while maintaining their optimal physical and emotional wellness.

This MAP RN supports Residential Services located in Springfield, MA, and will also work in our main office located in Easthampton, MA, where our programs all come together in a collaborative, supportive and flexible environment. Our therapeutic approach to caring for our youth ensures our teams works together to support our clients and each other.

This MAP RN will: complete routine health assessments of youth per contractual regulations; ensure and oversee the proper ordering and checking in of meds in the residential programs; oversee and ensure compliance with MAP procedures and regulations, be responsible for MAP training of all residential staff; administer medications to clients as needed; carry the nursing on-call phone and field any nursing calls from the programs.

Qualifications include the following:

  • Registered Nurse Licensure required in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum two years of residential or psychiatric experience.
  • Successful completion and maintain certification as a MAP RN and MAP Nurse Monitor.
  • Knowledgeable about trauma-informed care and general development stages of children and teens.
  • Familiar with federal, state, regulatory and best practice recommendations with respect to de-escalation and restraint alternatives as well as humane restraint techniques.
  • Approved CORI/DCF/Driving checks required.
