Job description

The Opportunity
Tetra Tech is looking for a part-time Lead Hazard Control Intake Specialist. This a remote position, tied to our Cincinnati, OH operations. Candidates do not need to live in or around Cincinnati to apply.

Position Summary
We are dedicated to creating healthier communities by eliminating lead hazards from residential properties. Our mission is to safeguard families with young children from the dangers of lead exposure by providing comprehensive abatement services and resources. We are seeking several detail-oriented Intake Specialists to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting program operations and ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Essential Job Functions
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

    Point of Contact: Provide timely information and assistance to participating families and/or property owners throughout the application and abatement process.

    Income Determination: Review and verify applicant income documentation to determine program eligibility in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

    State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Determination Letters: Process and manage SHPO determination requests and letters, ensuring compliance with preservation regulations for qualifying properties.

    Occupant Relocation Coordination: Coordinate the temporary relocation of program participants during abatement activities, including arranging accommodations and transportation as needed.

    Meal Voucher Management: Oversee the distribution and record keeping of meal vouchers for relocated occupants, ensuring participants' needs are met throughout the abatement process.

    Pre- and Post-Lead Abatement Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all pre-abatement and post-abatement activities, including inspection reports, clearance documentation, and participant communications in accordance with state and local requirements.

Required Qualifications
    Associate's degree or higher in social services, public health, business administration, or a minimum of one-year related field experience.
    Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory and scientific information to lay-people.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn program-specific software.
    Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams.
    This position requires driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good standing is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in case management, housing programs, or environmental health preferred.

Work Environment is primarily the employee's home office. 
Additional Information
Status: Part-Time

Work schedule: Intake specialists working hours vary depending on the availability of the client. This may include nights and weekends if the client is not available during normal work hours.

Remote/hybrid: Work location is primarily the candidate's home office.

Travel requirement: Role responsibilities will require occasional project site and client visits up to approximately 25%, which could include overnight travel.

The Pay Range for this position is $24 - $40 per hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
