Billing Services: Part-time Mail Clerk

Expected Work Schedule Mon-Fri, 9a-1p

Department: Administration – Finance – Account Services

Reports To: Billing Services Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Pay Grade: 16

Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Billing Services: Part-time Mail Clerk is responsible for the timely distribution of internal and external incoming and outgoing mail. This includes sorting, documenting, and delivering mail in a prompt manner. This role will also be responsible for tracking, verifying, researching, and redistributing any undeliverable mail items. This role also assists the Accounts Receivable department with Laserfiche scanning and various other duties deemed necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to, the following):

  • On time and ready to work during defined hours
  • Attends and participates in department staff meetings
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SD1 Rules and Regulations
  • Understands and complies with SD1 Employee Handbook
  • Understands and follows departmental policies and procedures
  • Works cooperatively with internal and external customers and coworkers
  • Maintains internal mailboxes for all SD1 Main Office employees and departments
  • Monitors and proactively maintains mail machine and supplies
  • Monitors and proactively reports postage funds
  • Utilizes local PVA data and other web-based sites to assist with mailing address updates and verification
  • Makes routine utility billing account customer contact information updates
  • Assists with Laserfiche document scanning and records retention needs
  • Coordinates with other departments to assist with special mailing needs

Education/Experience:
