The Server provides table service to restaurant patrons by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to balance serving tray when transferring for food order
  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
  • Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area
  • Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine
  • Visual acuity to see restaurant menus, take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas
  • Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours

Education / Qualifications:

  • California Food Handler Certificate
  • Previous server experience is preferred
  • Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all guests are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
  • Ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided and anticipate guest's needs prior to them asking
  • Maintain in-depth menu knowledge to answer questions and make order suggestions and ensure customers are able to navigate the menu system
  • Deliver food, beverages, condiments and other as requested by customers
  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
  • Provide relevant and exceptional service to customers to ensure their satisfaction
  • Be a team player, assisting co-workers whenever needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares customers checks and collects payments.
  • Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
