Le'fant is seeking a Database Technician to work as part of a team to maintain and implement one or more complex databases under the guidance of a lead. Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases. Monitor performance, scalability, and security and evaluate existing database design to determine the necessary updates and integration requirements of a new design and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. A Database Technician has experience in conducting routine database administration tasks, logging data in database admin logs, and operating under the supervision of a Database Administrator.
Requirements
You Have:
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must Live in the US and have maintained a permanent residence in the US for at least the last 3 consecutive years (36 months)
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of a Relational Database Management System (RDMS) such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server - Oracle preferred
  • Ability to design and develop SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data under the guidance of a lead
  • Experience working within a team-oriented, collaborative, agile environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to manage multi-discipline triage calls.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with database partitioning and microservices
  • Familiarity with Cloud-native database solutions, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS) and DynamoDB
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle in a team-oriented, collaborative, agile environment.
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take direction
  • A strong aptitude and enthusiasm for learning

There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Annual salary is just one component of Le'fant's total compensation package. Le'fant provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to, health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401k plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation.
