Job Title: Grocery Clerk I - Daytime Availability
Reports To: Center Store Manager
As a Grocery Clerk, your role stocking makes grocery shopping easy & enjoyable for guests. You'll help keep shelves stocked, products fresh, and the store organized-ensuring guests can find what they need quickly and easily. Your attention to detail and friendly service help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and supported. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment and making a difference, this is the role for you!

What You'll Do:
As a Grocery Stocker at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide Helpful Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it's a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you'll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
  • Stock & Display: Be part of the team stocking our aisles. Ensure products are fresh, in-date, properly rotated, and well-stocked.
  • Offer Assistance: Help guests locate products on and off the sales floor, providing product suggestions and alternatives when appropriate.
  • Receiving & Inventory Support: Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Grocery Department Manager and collaborate with Grocery associate team to meet goals.
  • Clean & Organize: Contribute to keeping the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well-maintained as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
  • Meet Goals: Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:
To excel in the Grocery Clerk role, you'll bring:
  • A helpful attitude and a commitment to excellent guest service.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work efficiently and effectively with others.
  • Awareness of safety requirements and policies policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, fork lift, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors (training provided).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
  • The associate must have full range of upper body motion in order to lift product. Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
  • The position requires the associate to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.

The Grocery Clerk I is a part-time position. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery store environment.
