WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administration (IT Infrastructure Consultant) in our Pewaukee, Wisconsin or Green Bay, Wisconsin location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office.

This position is part of a job family (Associate IT Infrastructure Consultant, IT Infrastructure Consultant, Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary

Infrastructure Administration (IA) is responsible for data protection, monitoring and observability, and corporate batch scheduling. The data protection role includes the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup and recovery of physical and virtual servers where annual tabletop and operational exercises meet RPO and RTO goals. IA also monitors infrastructure health and system performance to help identify issues and reduce mean time to resolution. In addition, IA manages batch scheduling to help assist teams with automation. All three core functions ensure the integrity, availability, and recoverability of corporate infrastructure.  

Job Responsibilities
  • Operational support of any data protection solution (i.e. Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity), maintaining backup schedules including working with teams on RPO (recovery point objective) and RTO (recovery time objective)
  • Operational support of monitoring and observability platform with experience in either LogicMonitor or Dynatrace
  • Plans, designs, and engineers various device and system configurations utilizing prescribed methods.  Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced IT Infrastructure Consultant or other senior staff.
  • Implements, operates and supports various devices and systems utilizing prescribed methods.  Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced IT Infrastructure Consultant or other senior staff.
  • Performs routine systems work requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Works under direction of supervisor or Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant who screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems.  Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments.
  • Develops working knowledge of systems, equipment, and supporting applications, and how they support the business.
  • Maintains key performance and process metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures, and systems, generally under the direction of senior staff.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support role on a rotating basis.
  • May require travel to other locations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree

This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation.

Pay Range Minimum:  $68,436.68 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
