Job description

The Westerner in West Valley City, UT is looking to hire a part-time Server to take food and beverage orders at our restaurant and serve them to customers while providing top-notch customer service. Are you good at multitasking in a bar/restaurant setting? Do you want to work in a fun, exciting atmosphere? Would you like to join a company that listens to and values its employees? This customer service position earns a competitive wage of $15/hr for the first 2 weekends, then $5/hr thereafter. Tips range from $100 - $150 per night. If this sounds like the right part-time bar/serving opportunity for you, apply today!

We first opened our doors in 1962 as Salt Lake City's original country dance hall, bar, and grill! Over the years, our stage has been home to well-known artists from Brad Paisley and George Jones to Rascal Flatts and The Dixie Chicks. Whether our clients are looking for good music, good food, or a good time, they can always find it with us! Our multifunctional design creates fun nights filled with live music, free mechanical bull rides, pool tables, line dance lessons, couple dance lessons, a karaoke room, and more! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERVER

As a Server, you're calm and collected as you move from customer to customer to greet them, take their orders, and deliver their food and beverages. You seamlessly move between the bartending stations and patrons with purpose. In addition to providing amazing customer service, you comply with state liquor laws and handle cash and credit card transactions with responsibility and honesty. You absolutely love meeting and serving new people while earning great tips at our restaurant!


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Utah Alcohol Server Permit within 14 days of hire
  • Food handler's permit within 14 days of hire
