Budget Car and Truck Rental of Memphis is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Administrative Assistant to join our team.


This is a primarily behind-the-scenes administrative position located in our administrative office and is not primarily a customer-facing role. We are currently seeking candidates interested in either Part-Time or Full-Time employment. This position works Monday through Friday; the administrative office is closed on weekends.


The Office Administrative Assistant will provide general clerical and administrative support to management and our rental locations throughout the Memphis area. Responsibilities will include maintaining records and paperwork, data entry, preparing documents and reports, assisting with various office functions, and supporting management with the day-to-day administrative needs of the operation. The position will also assist with researching and responding to customer inquiries as needed.


We are looking for someone who communicates professionally, pays close attention to detail, stays organized, and is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities throughout the workday.


Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Part-Time or Full-Time


Responsibilities

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to management and rental locations 
  • Organize, scan, file, and maintain company documents and records 
  • Enter and update information accurately in company systems 
  • Prepare letters, emails, reports, spreadsheets, and other business documents 
  • Review paperwork and records for accuracy and completeness 
  • Assist with data entry and routine reporting 
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files 
  • Communicate with rental locations and other departments to obtain necessary information and documentation 
  • Assist with researching and responding to customer inquiries and written correspondence as needed 
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls as needed 
  • Assist management with special projects and other administrative tasks as needed 
  • Assist with moving company vehicles between locations or facilities when operationally necessary 
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver's license required 
  • Must meet company driving requirements 
  • Previous administrative, clerical, office, or related experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to communicate professionally by email and telephone 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities 
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative when appropriate 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer systems 
  • Ability to learn company-specific software and procedures 
  • Ability to handle customer, employee, and company information professionally and confidentially 
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
