Job description

Healthcare DME is seeking a part-time Receptionist/Intake Coordinator for our office in Mesa, Arizona. This position ensures a smooth intake process by accurately relaying information and scheduling deliveries of medical equipment to patient homes. Responsibilities include answering phones, monitoring, reviewing, and distributing daily intakes and orders received. This position is 20-30 hours a week between 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner

  • Collect patient demographic and insurance information

  • Create charts and input all information into computer program

  • Submit prior authorizations as needed

  • Schedule deliveries

  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations and guidelines

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Display a friendly demeanor

  • Ability to work within a team and independently

  • Self-starter and self-motivator

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • High-level attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrate problem solving, organizational, and time management skills

  • Typing skills of 40 + WPM

  • Act ethically and honestly

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma required

  • Telephone customer service experience

  • Reception, Intake, or Billing experience in a medical setting

  • Familiar with accreditation processes in a medical setting
