Position: Part-Time Imam Raatib/ Qurโ€™an Instructor (10-12 hrs/week)

Location: ADAMS Gainesville

Overview:

ADAMS Gainesville is seeking a committed and spiritually grounded individual to serve as a part-time Imam Ratib. An Imam Ratib primarily leads the community in prayer and may contribute to teaching Qur'an and tajweed. This role is suited for someone who combines sound knowledge with presence, adab, and a sincere sense of responsibility in guiding others in worship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Maghrib and สฟIshฤสพ prayers.
  • Ensure the proper performance of Salฤh and attentiveness to congregational needs during prayer.
  • Teach Qurโ€™an and Tajwฤซd to youth and adults.
  • Lead quarterly youth and adult qiyฤm programs, fostering spiritual growth and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Strong proficiency in Qurโ€™anic recitation (tajwฤซd).
  • Hafidh of the Quran.Minimum qualification: memorization of at least half of the Qurโ€™an (15+ ajzฤสพ), with active progress toward completing memorization.
  • Sound knowledge of the fiqh of Tahara and Salฤh.
  • Prior experience formally leading congregational prayer, including Taraweeh.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Qurโ€™an and Tajwฤซd to both youth and adults.
