Job Description
This is a part-time instructor position teaching Phlebotomy courses in the Workforce Development and Community Education division reporting to the Director, Health Occupations, and Nurse Aide Training.
Note: At this time, there is no specific need. This is for a pool of applicants as needs arise.

Essential Duties Summary
Job duties will include:
- Prepares course materials; uses appropriate teaching techniques including delivering lectures, leading discussions, and conducting laboratory demonstrations; and performs other activities, which are related to and meet the requirements of the courses.
- Conducts evaluations of student performance and assigns grades on the basis of such evaluations.
- Maintains records of student attendance and grades according to college policy and procedure.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required to meet course objectives.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree required in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Greater than three years of relevant industry experience with administrative and clinical procedures related to Phlebotomy.
- Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Experience in a community college setting.
- Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems.
- ASCP Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
Physical Demands
Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office or classroom setting with appropriate climate controls. Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.
Essential functions of this position require lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
Medium work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; involves sitting only occasionally, walking and standing are required regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, or handle.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.
