Job description

Equivity is seeking an experienced Virtual Immigration Paralegal to support attorneys across a range of family-based and humanitarian immigration matters
This is an assignment-based opportunity designed for paralegals who value the flexibility of remote work and enjoy supporting a variety of law firms and matters across the country. As client needs evolve, assignments and workload may vary based on business demand. This role is a good fit for an experienced paralegal who values professional flexibility and is comfortable with a workload that can fluctuate rather than requiring a guaranteed number of weekly hours from the outset.

When actively supporting clients, responsiveness is important. Because client needs can arise on short notice, paralegals are expected to remain responsive to their active clients and Equivity managers within one hour during their stated availability.

If you're an experienced litigation paralegal who appreciates autonomy, remote flexibility, and the opportunity to work with multiple legal teams, this assignment-based model may be a strong fit.

What You May Support
  • Preparing and filing family-based and humanitarian immigration petitions and applications
  • Supporting adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, waivers, asylum, VAWA, U visas, T visas, and TPS matters
  • Drafting RFEs, NOIDs, declarations, correspondence, and supporting evidence packets
  • Communicating with clients, attorneys, USCIS, consulates, and other agencies
  • Tracking deadlines and maintaining accurate case records in Docketwise, INSZoom, LawLogix, Clio, or similar systems
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 3 years of recent immigration paralegal experience in two or more of the areas listed above
  • Knowledge of USCIS forms, filing procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
  • Proficiency with immigration software, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Windows-based computer preferred
  • Responsiveness within one hour during stated availability
Compensation and Work Structure
  • W-2 employment at $28 per hour
  • Assignment-based work determined by client demand, qualifications, and availability
  • Assignment volume and hours may fluctuate and are not guaranteed immediately upon joining
Why Join Equivity?
Join a nationwide team of legal professionals performing substantive immigration work for law firms across the country. Equivity offers remote flexibility, professional support, and opportunities to build lasting client relationships.

Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid sick time and employee discounts
  • Annual performance bonuses
  • Six-month pay reviews with potential increases based on performance
  • Reimbursement of eligible business expenses
  • Professional development and advancement opportunities
  • Additional benefits based on eligibility and employment status
Equivity is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
