Job description

Work Type: Part-time/Seasonal
Nature of Work: This work involves working with the supervisor in the overall operation and activities at the Harry A. Koch Trap and Skeet range.
Education and Experience: (The knowledge, skills, and abilities above may be acquired through, but are not limited to, the following combination of education and/or experience.)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Knowledge of the overall operation of the facility.
* Knowledge of firearms use, care, and safety.
* Knowledge of City policy and procedures regarding accidents and other incidents.
* Knowledge of basic first aid CPR/AED.
* Ability to conduct tournaments and other special events.
* Ability to prepare and maintain records and compile reports.
* Ability to work effectively with all participants that utilize the facility.
* Ability to perform basic office duties.
* Ability to operate a cash register and make correct change.
* Ability to communicate effectively with program participants and with co-workers.
* Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
* Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, crawl in trap houses, and move about the facility constantly.
Essential Functions: (Any one position may not perform all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all of the duties that may be performed in positions allocated to this classification.)
* Cleans and maintains the concession area and equipment.
* Plans, arranges, and conducts programmed activities and special events, ensuring that they are conducted in a safe manner and according to policies for all ages in facilities.
* Takes reservations and collects fees.
* Ensures the safety of participants utilizing the rifle range.
* Operates trap and skeet machines.
* Provide basic instruction to participants on how to use equipment.
* Assists the supervisor in the overall operation of the facility.
* Assists in ensuring that the facilities are free of safety hazards, conducting safety checks regularly.
* Cleans and performs light custodial duties in and around the facility and grounds.
* Secures the building according to specified procedures.
* Orders, picks up, and distributes supplies and equipment.
* Provides customer service and responds to inquiries and complaints.
* Maintains daily records and inventory.
* Prepare weekly and or monthly calendar of activities.
* Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scoops of this classification.
* IF AGE 19 OR OLDER
* Prepares, sells, and serves food and beverages, including alcohol.
Special Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must be a minimum of 19 years of age in order to serve alcohol.
Must possess a valid drivers' license.
Must be able to work varied times, including weekends and holidays.
