Job description

Bunzl is seeking a Recruiting Intern to join our Talent Acquisition & Development team for Summer 2026. This internship offers hands-on exposure to full-cycle recruiting in a corporate environment and is designed for students interested in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.

As a Recruiting Intern, you will partner closely with an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition professional to support hiring efforts across the organization. You’ll gain practical experience in candidate screening, interview coordination, employer branding, and recruiting operations—while developing skills that translate directly into a future HR or recruiting career.

M-F, day shift (40hrs) in our St. Louis, MO (Creve Coeur) office for the summer. There MAY be opportunity to extend the work to 10-20 hrs. per week during the upcoming school year.

Compensation for this position is $18/hour.

What You’ll Learn & Do

Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming applications and evaluate candidate qualifications against job requirements
  • Assist with creating and posting job descriptions across multiple platforms
  • Coordinate and schedule recruiter and hiring manager interviews using Microsoft Teams
  • Observe Talent Acquisition team meetings and hiring manager updates to understand candidate flow and decision-making
  • Observe and participate in candidate interviews, gaining exposure to interview structure, behavioral questioning, and evaluation techniques
  • Support candidate experience by sending timely status updates and communications
  • Learn how to build and manage a LinkedIn candidate pipeline, including effective outreach messaging
  • Gain exposure to compensation discussions, including market rates, job postings, and offer considerations
  • Learn and utilize Bunzl’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Support additional recruiting and HR-related projects as needed

      This role is intentionally designed to provide real responsibility, not just observation.

      Requirements:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
      • Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in our St. Louis (Creve Coeur) office during Summer 2026
      • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and follow-through
      • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
      • Interest in recruiting, HR, or talent development as a career

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Prior internship, campus leadership, or customer-facing experience
      • Familiarity with LinkedIn or other professional networking platforms
      • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
