Position Summary

Applies the nursing process with patients and families, integrating principles that reflect sensitivity to their age-specific/developmental needs, gender, culture, religion, psychosocial and socioeconomic backgrounds in order to provide evidence-based, holistic care in a manner that respects the worth and dignity of each individual. Practices professional nursing as a registered nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice and Code of Nurses, American Nurses Association Home Health Nursing, National Hospice Association and applicable regulatory standards. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Registered Nurse, who is a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut. 
  • Has the knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients and to perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner.
