As a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg / Orthopedics unit, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive and healing environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient's condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient's progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg or Orthopedics nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Education:
  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Licensure:
  • Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
  • Certification:
  • Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
  • Certification(s) as required by specific unit.
  • Experience:
  • Must meet unit specific care requirements.
  • Language:
  • Must be able to speak / understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
  • Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients / equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift.
  • Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste and known or unknown diseases.
