Qualifications for our Speech Therapist SLP position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing and able to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Two years of experience in Skilled Nursing community preferred
  • Experience working in a person directed care environment preferred
  • Experience working with persons living with dementia
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent team player, able to work harmoniously across multiple disciplines
  • Ability to effectively interact with elders and their families
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards elders, especially those who have communication difficulties
  • Ability to assess and diagnose speech and language disorders accurately
  • Experience with PointClickCare electronic records system preferred
