Job description

Nature of Position The City of Alameda is looking for applicants interested in performing a variety of part-time, administrative assignments across various city departments. The administrative skill sets we are looking for varies as part-time positions become available. The most frequent part-time help we are looking for are in the following areas: General clerical help involving reception and answering phones, data entry and typing, scheduling, Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access), filing, copying, and large scale document scanning and archiving projects Bookkeeping, revenue and expenditure tracking, and basic accounting services Basic research, data gathering, data analysis, and report writing Grant writing and reporting Programmatic support (specialized areas vary) Event planning and coordination SELECTION PROCESS: **Applications are reviewed for a match in qualifications only if a part-time opening becomes available.** If a hiring manager is interested in your application, you will be contacted for an interview
