Job Summary
We are looking for a Home Health Aid to join our team to work with one veteran for potentially 10 to 40 hours/week, depending on the client, in the St Augustine, FL area. You will directly work with the veteran, following a one-on-one care plan in the veteran's home. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building a genuine relationship with the veteran. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets the patient's needs. 
Responsibilities 
  • Assist with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
  • Change bed linens, do laundry, light housekeeping, or assist with personal care if needed
  • Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor 
  • Build a relationship with the veteran by engaging them in conversation
  • Provide medication reminders, conduct blood pressure and/or sugar level checks, and assist with meal prep, if needed
 
Qualifications
  • Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening through ACHA (Provided by company during onboarding if hired for the job.)
  • Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program (CNA or HHA)
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • One-year prior professional experience 
  • Driver’s license required 
  • CPR/First Aide certification required 
  • CNA Preferred, 
  • HIV/AIDS Training Certification Preferred, but not required
  • Proof of a negative TB test/health screening
  • CPR and TB Testing certification required if you do not have CPR or TB have to be willing to sign up through the company for credentialing
