JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of Agricultural Sciences' web team is seeking a Multimedia Specialist (Web Content Editor) to review and format website content and digital education products for the College and Penn State Extension. This individual will review website content in the Plone Content Management System for compliance with product guidelines, web best practices, and Chicago style writing. The review process includes enhancing content for accessibility, search engine optimization (SEO), and image quality. This position collaborates with educators, faculty, and staff, as well as creative and marketing specialists, and requires excellent interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of HTML, accessibility standards, writing and structuring content for the web, and experience with a web content management system are required. Attention to detail and quality, proofreading skills, and familiarity with the organization or subject matter are preferred. This position is part-time, 12-18 hours per week, during weekday business hours. Remote, in-person, or hybrid work options are available.
