About the Role
Are you fascinated by content creation, audience engagement, digital storytelling, and excited about opportunities to learn, grow, and continuously improve? ChalkSense, LLC is seeking an hourly flex/part-time Content Creator to get involved in our experiential events initiative.
This flexible hourly role is ideal for someone seeking supplemental income while building their creative portfolio and contributing to a growing business. Expected hours may vary week to week (e.g., 0-5+ hours) based on operational needs. Candidates must be flexible to occasionally support events, meetings, content capture, or other activities during after-school hours and/or weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Create engaging content across a variety of formats, including social media posts, videos, blogs, newsletters, webpages, presentations, flyers, print, and other business and marketing materials
  • Source, capture, organize, edit, and integrate content, photos, and videos from experiences, events, sessions, and collaborations
  • Write compelling copy, captions, headlines, calls-to-action, and other content aligned with our brand voice
  • Support website content updates, landing pages, ideaboards, emails, newsletters, messaging, and other marketing initiatives
  • Help maintain a content calendar aligned with seasonal themes, audience interests, and business priorities
  • Research trends, topics, and creative approaches that may support marketing and growth objectives
  • Assist with social media, email, messaging, phone calls, virtual sessions, events, and other communications as needed
  • Engage professionally with community members, collaborators, participants, and stakeholders
  • Help gather testimonials, stories, photos, feedback, and other content assets
  • Support outreach, promotional initiatives, and awareness-building efforts
  • Collaborate with team to co-create behind-the-scenes content ahead of or during experiences and events
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses and iterate to ongoing insights and information
  • Support event/session logistics, including coordination, ordering or purchasing supplies (reimbursed or provided), content creation, setup, decor, instruction, assistance, and/or light cleanup as needed
  • Participate in feedback, planning and operational strategy input, suggesting improvements and solutions to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
  • Flexible to be on-call occasionally (flexible for availability to be adjusted by candidate daily) during after-school hours and/or weekends, as needed for events, sessions, or operational support
  • Gather, prepare, process, and/or maintain clear records, reports, or paperwork of activities, stakeholder interactions, purchases, and other operational needs
  • Perform work in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, company policies, industry best practices, and other requirements and standards, as well as evolving regulations and standards that may surface from time to time
  • Organize, support, and/or join virtual and/or in-person meetings, sessions, or events as needed from time to time
  • Work individually and collaborate effectively with team members, providers, and stakeholders to meet business and stakeholder goals
  • Comfortable with supporting related tasks in various areas such as administrative, human resources, communications, customer service, activity coordination and execution, team building, stakeholder engagement and onboarding, providing feedback, marketing, business operations and logistics, and other ad-hoc operational tasks that may fall under candidate capabilities and/or interests from time to time
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or modified by management to support evolving operational needs
  • Collaborate with team members to suggest and implement improvements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong writing, communication, design, and storytelling abilities
  • Experience creating content in one or more formats such as social media, blogs, newsletters, websites, presentations, video, print, photography, and graphic design
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital communication tools
  • Proficiency with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others

  • Experience working with startups, small businesses, nonprofits, schools, hospitality, events, or community organizations
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative work across one or more mediums
