The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference and help build a system that will have a positive impact in the intelligence community? What if you could find a position that is tailor made for your mix of development, engineering, and communication skills?
As a DevOps Engineer on our team, you'll use your development experience to streamline the software development life cycle in a multi-cloud Kubernetes environment. Together with a team of experienced professionals, you will support the building and maintenance of a DevSecOps pipeline using the latest open-source technologies. You will use Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to automate everything from configuration management to infrastructure provisioning. Using your software engineering knowledge, you will work with your team to bring other organizations on board with DevOps and champion the adoption of related processes, tools, and roles. You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
  • 2+ years of experience developing, deploying, and managing cloud applications, including AWS
  • 1+ years of experience deploying and managing applications within Kubernetes
  • Experience developing multi-tenant enterprise cloud-native solutions
  • Experience working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date

  • Experience with scripting or object-oriented programming in Bash, Python, Groovy, or Golang
  • Experience with Kubernetes Operators, Rancher, and RKE2
  • Experience using or managing ArgoCD, Grafana, or Elasticsearch
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab Runners
  • Experience with Terragrunt, Pulumi, or Crossplane
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Certification
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
