Description
Duties include the design marketing coordination and delivery of training programs and services in basic electricity and electrical devices industrial sensors and controls motors motor controls programmable logic controllers robotics automated systems and welding to employers in the Lake Land College District.
Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Consult with business representatives to assess training needs
  2. Assist in the preparation of proposals contracts schedules and client correspondence.
  3. Develop and maintain resources required to deliver training services.
  4. Coordinate with services of other training consultants as needed.
  5. Deliver training within areas of specialty.
  6. Maintain necessary program documentation.
  7. Coordinate with CBI staff to maximize Center resources and services.

Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience Requirements:
Preference given to candidates with manufacturing experience in electrical devices, automated manufacturing systems, and industrial controls.
Knowledge:
Basic Electricity and Electronics, Industrial Sensors and Control Devices, Motors, Motor Controllers, Programmable Logic Control, Robotics, Welding.
Skills:
Deliver instruction, make presentations, coordinate group activities, share marketing information, customer service, business software applications, time management, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.
Personal Requirements:
Ability to interact effectively with all levels within corporate structures from line to leadership levels. Ability to function as a team player and maintain professional relationships. Ability to relate college level material to entry level technicians.

Leave Time Hours
Eligible part-time employees earn leave time at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.
Tuition Waiver
Lake Land College offers tuition waivers for credit courses of 1 credit hour tuition waiver for every semester completed for a total of up to 3 credit hours per Fiscal Year.
Retirement
Lake Land College employees are members of the State Universities Retirement System (SURS). 8% of your gross earnings will be placed into your SURS account. You will have three plan options to select from-Traditional, Portable, and Retirement Savings Plan. Information will be mailed to your home from SURS. Please be advised that if you do not make an election within 6 months-you will automatically be enrolled in the Traditional Plan, which is the default plan. Elections are irrevocable.
403(b)/457(b) Retirement Savings Plans
Lake Land College offers a voluntary 403(b) plan and a 457(b) plan through Security Benefits. Employees have the option of choosing from a variety of investment funds and can contribute on a pre-tax or post-tax basis. Employees can elect to enroll in a 403(b) and 457(b) plan at any time.
Eligible employees will be automatically enrolled in the SURS/Voya 457 plan at 3% pre-tax, with the ability to opt out.

There will be Staff Development sessions in the Fall and Spring semesters. Part-time employees are encouraged to participate in these sessions.
