Job description

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician II (part-time) to join our team in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities:

  • Conducts field and ship checks per Planning SOP;
  • Identifies and resolves HM&E, piping, and structural system issues;
  • Provides technical guidance; prepares inspection reports and drawing sets;
  • Manages repair project development and cost estimates (C962);
  • Installs and repairs locking mechanisms and keying systems aboard Navy vessels (C948)

Experience:

  • 8 yrs full-time hands-on technician experience with shipboard systems (assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, maintenance)
  • Knowledge of JFMM, HM&E systems, blueprints, and work package procedures
  • Ability to prepare written reports, conduct technical studies, and develop recommendations

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • NDA requirements
