Job Description:
Madison College is seeking a creative and detail-oriented part-time Graphic Designer to support the development of engaging visual communications across digital, print, web, social media, and multimedia platforms. This position creates high-quality marketing and communication materials that promote the college's programs, services, and initiatives while maintaining Madison College brand standards. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the marketing and communications team, the successful candidate will help produce accessible, visually compelling content that connects with diverse audiences and supports the college's mission, visibility, and student-centered goals.
This is a part-time, 25-hour-per-week position located at the Madison College Truax campus. General office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with flexibility for this position to establish a consistent work schedule in collaboration with the supervisor. This position can expect regularly scheduled team meetings Monday through Thursday. Hybrid work is allowable, subject to college policy and departmental needs.

We encourage you to share a variety of work that demonstrates your creativity, design process, problem-solving skills and ability to communicate ideas visually.
Accountabilities:
*Design and produce digital and print marketing materials-including brochures, flyers, advertisements, presentations, social media graphics, and web content-to effectively communicate key messages, engage target audiences, and support Madison College's marketing and communication goals.
*Partners with internal stakeholders and leadership to understand project objectives and deliver creative solutions that align with institutional priorities and effectively represent the college's mission and brand.
*Maintain and consistently apply established brand standards across all creative materials to ensure a cohesive, professional, and recognizable visual identity for Madison College.
*Create and edit graphics, illustrations, layouts, and multimedia content to develop visually compelling and accessible communications that enhance audience engagement and understanding.
*Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and quality expectations to ensure timely delivery of effective and high-quality creative assets.
*Prepare files for print production and digital publication to ensure materials are accurate, optimized, and successfully produced across multiple platforms and formats.
*Review and revise designs based on stakeholder feedback to ensure final deliverables meet project goals, audience needs, and organizational expectations.
*Stay current on design trends, software updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve creative quality, innovation, and effectiveness in visual communications. Support photography, video, and other creative projects as assigned to enhance multimedia storytelling and expand the college's visual communication capabilities.
*Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
*Skill in graphic arts, page layout, problem-solving, conceptual design, and presenting such projects.
*Experience in developing and maintaining branded assets and materials.
*Experience using industry software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects, Canva or other widely used design software). Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
*Experience with accessible design and ADA compliance with digital assets.
*Ability to organize and prioritize work and give clear, concise rationale of designs.
*Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
*Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.
Minimum Requirements:
*Associate's degree (or equivalent additional work experience)
*0-1+ years of relevant work experience.
