Job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our sonography office, requiring strong communication skills and strong customer service skills.

Schedule - if you can not or do not want these hours, please do not apply.

  • Monday and Wednesday 8am to 3pm
  • Tuesday and Wenesday 5pm to 9:30pm
  • Every other Friday 2:30pm to 9pm
  • Every other Saturday 8am to 6pm

Clinic hours are by appointment only, so hours may change slightly each week do to scheduling.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Manage incoming calls
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently while maintaining the clinicโ€™s calendar.
  • Check in clients and take payment before each appointment is taken back for their ultrasound
  • Handle all cash and credit card processing
  • Do end of shift duties that include, but not limited to; batch credit card transactions, complete end of day paperwork and manage all client information
  • Handle clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and data entry
  • Support the sonographers with administrative tasks as needed to enhance client care.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with health information management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills are required.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are a must.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Manage the cleaning and upkeep of the front desk area, lobby, office and bathrooms at all times.
