Lucid Dermatology is a well-established dermatology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive skincare solutions to our patients. Our group of skilled dermatologists and passionate team members are dedicated to providing excellent patient care and fostering a friendly and welcoming environment. We are now seeking an enthusiastic receptionist to join our team and serve as our patients' initial point of contact.
As a receptionist at Lucid Dermatology, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients. You will be responsible for managing the front desk, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and providing excellent customer service.
Job Description
  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Schedule patient appointments, confirming and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information about our services.
  • Verify insurance information and assist patients with any billing or payment questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating patient records and electronic health records (EHR/ EMR).
  • Staying HIPAA compliant, maintaining patient information private, and following all security and privacy guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is required; derm experience is a plus. 
  • ModMed/ EMA EMR experience is also a plus. 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using office software, including scheduling and EHR/ EMR systems.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of patient interactions.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
