ABOUT THE WESTERNER

We first opened our doors in 1962 as Salt Lake City's original country dance hall, bar, and grill! Over the years, our stage has been home to well-known artists from Brad Paisley and George Jones to Rascal Flatts and The Dixie Chicks. Whether our clients are looking for good music, good food, or a good time, they can always find it with us! Our multifunctional design creates fun nights filled with live music, free mechanical bull rides, pool tables, line dance lessons, couple dance lessons, a karaoke room, and more! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD RUNNER

As a Food Runner, you are an essential part of the success of our bar and restaurant. You show up on time for each shift, ready to be on the front line with our guests and leave a lasting impression. Your upbeat, positive attitude comes through in all of your interactions and helps you to ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service. Running food from the kitchen to the tables in the restaurant, you always ensure that the food matches the order and is delivered in a timely, orderly, and efficient manner.

After dropping off their food, you assist guests with any requests they may have, trying to anticipate their needs. Your strong communication skills allow you to work seamlessly with our servers. On occasion, you step in as a fill-in cook, alleviating the workload off of our bartenders and servers. We appreciate your organizational skills, strong work ethic, and exceptional customer service abilities as you keep our establishment running smoothly. In addition to interacting with guests, you enjoy the comradery that comes with working in a tightly-run restaurant and bar environment!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOOD RUNNER

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to attain a Utah alcohol server permit within 14 days of hire
  • Ability to attain a Salt Lake County Health Department food handlers permit within 14 days of hire
