Short Description
  • Prepares and assembles salads, desserts, sandwiches, and deli items according to standardized recipes for portion size.
  • Works grill area preparing foods according to quality control standards.
  • Safely operate slicer, mixer, steamer, oven, and broiler.
  • Estimates food and supplies according to recipe for portion size in assigned areas. 
  • Procures food by requisitioning or obtaining directly from storage area as directed. 
  • Replenishes stock to area according to daily par level.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work area and equipment to meet regulatory and HACCP standards. 
  • Properly stores products not being used. 
  • Practices safe food handling procedures. 
  • Works in dish room or pot and pan area as assigned.
  • Serves cafeteria customers or works various positions on patient tray line as assigned.
Experience Required
  • Previous food service experience required. 
  • Must have knowledge and ability in safe handling of food, equipment and food preparation.
Education Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED recipient.
