  • Prepare food for service in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Prepare and maintain dining area for guests and insure cleanliness at all times.
  • Provide ACES service to every guest.
  • Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy.
  • Demonstrate and exhibit characteristics and behavior in accordance with Property and Company Core Values
  • Understand and perform opening station requirements
  • Stock work station with appropriate food, beverage and paper products; identify and perform product rotation requirements
  • Knowledgeable of all foods and drinks available; know the specifications and approximate cooking times for each item.
  • Take food and drink order from guests; communicate special instructions or conditions to other team members.
  • Accurately use the Point of Sale System for all transactions
  • Understand and perform proper cash management procedures in accordance to the HCCTR internal controls.
  • Maintain work station in a clean, safe and sanitized manner at all times
  • Communicate guests' issues, concerns, and/or problems to management
  • Properly cook all menu items in accordance to the specifications.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area by properly cleaning and sanitizing tables and other surfaces.
  • Ability to remove trash from outlets and dining area and properly clean and sanitize trash receptacles.
  • Restock condiment stations as needed with designated supplies.
  • Understand and adhere to all board of health, property, and departmental safety practices
  • Understand and perform closing station requirements
  • Maintains valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit and TIPS certifications

  • Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to apply.  High School diploma or general education degree (GED), or actively enrolled in High School or experience in lieu of education.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
  • Must be able to obtain proper Food Handler Certification.
  • Must be Tips certified
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hot/cold, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
