Description
Our floral shop is in need of a team player to bring floral ideas and themes to life. You will be able to learn alongside our master florist to develop arranging skills and branch out to bring attention to your own compositions. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with customers as well as on our weddings and corporate accounts to make arrangements for holidays, special occasions and home dรฉcor. This position can let you explore your own creative side while working with a variety of flowers, plants and other floral fillers to make any day a bit more memorable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Arrange floral designs to customer specifications
  • Order and maintain supply of fresh seasonal flowers, greenery, potted plants and decorative floral items for use in arrangements and displays
  • Take orders in person, over the phone and from the website from customers, including special requests, delivery date and location and processing payment
  • Design arrangements for all occasions: weddings, day-to-day, holidays, etc.
  • Provide information about varieties of blooms and fillers to explain their properties, appearance, scent and compatibility with other flowers
  • Explain care of arrangements for customers to prolong the life of the flowers for maximum enjoyment
  • Maintain daily records of sales and orders for accounts for POS systems in person and online
  • Set up or break down at start and end of work day as well as general cleaning and straightening of work spaces on daily basis
  • Provide assistance for delivery of arrangements, include loading and unloading van in addition to carrying arrangements to designated location
  • All routine operations of floral shop including but not limited to making delivers, watering plants, ordering, inventory, cleaning, etc
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to details
  • Able to follow instructions as a team player
  • A background in creative arts or floral design is preferred
  • Valid Driver's license required
