Airport Security Agent

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is seeking professional, reliable, and experienced Airport Security Agents to join our team.

Pay Rate: $22.35 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

As an Airport Security Agent, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment by protecting assigned areas, monitoring access to restricted locations, observing and reporting suspicious activity, and responding to security and emergency situations as directed.

What You'll Do

Airport Security Agents may be assigned to parking lots, access control points, construction sites, fire watch posts, and other designated locations.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Observe and report suspicious activity or behavior.
  • Protect and monitor assigned areas and facilities.
  • Enforce applicable security rules, regulations, and post orders.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
  • Screen and/or log individuals and vehicles entering restricted areas.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections as required.
  • Monitor personnel and vehicles in secured and restricted areas.
  • Direct traffic when required.
  • Provide construction escort services as assigned.
  • Conduct inspections of designated work areas and perimeter areas.
  • Respond to door alarms and other security-related alarms as directed.
  • Report unauthorized access attempts, fires, hazardous conditions, accidents, unattended property, and other unusual incidents.
  • Maintain accurate activity and incident logs and prepare reports as required.
  • Perform fire watch duties as assigned.
  • Assist with emergency situations, including fires, explosions, bomb threats, floods, crowd control, and other emergencies.
  • Provide assistance to individuals in public areas when required until emergency medical assistance arrives.
  • Use electronic guard tour monitoring systems or other assigned technology.
  • Perform additional security duties as assigned by management.
  • Report for duty 30 minutes before the assigned shift for roll call and travel to the assigned post.
  • Remain at the assigned post throughout the scheduled shift unless properly relieved or the location is secured in an approved manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and wear the required uniform while on duty.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • At least 2 years of security experience
  • A valid driver's license
  • A valid New York State Security Guard License
  • A high school diploma or GED
