Fire Watch Attendant
Easton, ME
Schedule: Part-Time/Days; shifts are usually 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM every other Tuesday, though hours will vary based on employer need.
Payrate: $19.30/hr.
Job Description:
Looking for responsible individuals to act as Fire Watch Attendants for a large production facility in Easton during maintenance shutdowns. No previous experience needed – paid training will be provided. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
The Fire Watch Attendant monitors various jobs sites for potential safety hazards while repairs are being performed by maintenance crews. Employee will stand by and remain attentive at all times to ensure that there are no potential safety hazards on the job site. Must be able to alert fellow workers of emergencies and keep detailed records of job site activity.
Responsibilities:
  • Watch for potential safety hazards in the workplace during routine and seasonal maintenance.
  • Follow appropriate Fire Watch protocols to ensure that the jobsite is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Promptly alert other workers in the event of a emergency or potential hazard.
  • Wear all required protective gear and follow job site safety requirements as directed.
  • Assist with job site cleanup during downtimes or at the end of the workday.
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication; must be able to understand and relay directions effectively.
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
  • Steel-toed boots required.
