Amazon Fire TV reaches millions of customers worldwide through our Live TV offering. We're expanding our Live TV engineering team to build the next generation of television experiences that combine traditional broadcasting and streaming technology. Our team builds and owns critical components that power live television viewing across all Fire TV devices. Join us to solve complex technical challenges while delivering features that improve how millions watch television.
As a Software Development Engineer on the core experiences team, you will
- Design and implement products that enable video service partners (Prime Video Channels, IMDb TV, Twitch, etc) to surface & promote content as part of the 'Live TV' integrated experience.
- Investigate, prototype, and deliver new and innovative software applications.
- Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.
Additionally, You will drive key engineering and business decisions that impact Amazon's long-term vision, which includes rapid innovation in building better voice interfaces to the media and entertainment content that Fire TV customers love! We leverage technology in client-app frameworks, big data, machine learning, optimization techniques and high availability services. Here on the Fire TV team, we are dedicated to creating the most engaging entertainment platform for the whole family, worldwide.
We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented software engineers who have experience building innovative, mission critical, high volume applications that customers love. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of products used every day, by people you know. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
