In addition, they may participate in regular training sessions, community outreach, and equipment maintenance. Balancing this role with another job or personal commitments can be challenging, as shifts and call-outs may occur during evenings, weekends, or holidays. However, part-time positions can offer valuable experience, skill development, and opportunities for advancement within the department.

Part-time firefighters and support staff assist with emergency response, fire prevention, and community safety programs.
