Job Summary
Accounting Assistant supports daily accounting operations by assisting in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other department activities. This role ensures organized documentation, accurate data entry in accounting systems, and effective communication with internal teams regarding billing and payment inquiries. The Accounting Assistant also supports internal controls, payroll-related reviews, and audit preparation while handling confidential financial information with accuracy and professionalism.
Essential Job Functions
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records and reports.
  • Aid in the processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents (digital and physical).
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding billing and payment inquiries.
  • Perform data entry and update accounting software with accurate information.
Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Assist with development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard the parkโ€™s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with select payroll related reviews and submissions, annual audit preparations and reporting.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor's or associateโ€™s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Adobe, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
