Field Mapping Associate - Michigan State University
Part-Time, Temporary | Hybrid (Michigan)
Role Summary
CRG is looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to conduct site visits across the MSU campus. You'll work alongside university staff to verify and update facility maps that support emergency response efforts.
Our signature product, Collaborative Response Graphics® (CRG®), combines aerial imagery, floor plans, and a gridded overlay into a single, clear map for first responders. In this role, your work will directly help keep your own campus safer.
Qualifications
Required
  • Comfortable using an iPad for basic drawing and annotation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods (30 minutes to 3 hours per visit, with multiple visits per day)
  • Resides on campus or has reliable transportation for off-campus travel
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient with email and phone for scheduling and client communication
  • Flexible availability

Preferred
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Background in graphic design, drafting, or art
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • Experience in a customer- or client-facing role

Education
Minimum of 30 completed credit hours toward a bachelor's degree.
