Position Title:

Student Worker - Campus Events/Logistics (Work-Study)

Job Description:

The Campus Events/Logistics student worker will perform all duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.

  • Event set-ups/breakdowns, including tents, stages, floor covering, barricades, tables, chairs etc.
  • Office moves, including furniture, file cabinets, etc., ensuring that appropriate moving procedures are followed to prevent damage.
  • Dormitory moves including beds/bunking beds, desks, chests, etc.
  • May be asked to assist any other department within the campus community and will be required to perform any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director. Must be willing and able to work independently without supervision.
  • Be able to withstand being on his/her feet the entire shift.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to work well as a team.

Salary and Hours

  • Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
  • Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
