Family Pathways is seeking a Part-Time (20 Hours weekly) Food Rescue Driver focused on the receipt, processing, movement, and delivery of food and household items for Family Pathways. This position includes picking up, transporting, and delivering food donations and other goods from business partners, donors, and other supporters as directed. This position may also be responsible for mobile food programs such as 'Doorstep' home deliveries and 'Mobile Food Shelf' as directed. This position may assist in covering mass distribution events, 'Pop-Ups,' and the movement of material for other Family Pathways programs, events, and activities as directed. This position organizes loads, transfers, and unloads food and household items between Family Pathway's food shelf locations. This position uses a Family Pathways vehicle and is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is in safe working condition with regular maintenance and abiding by traffic laws.
SALARY: $16.00/hour
HOURS: Part-Time (20 hours a week)
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Must be dependable, flexible, and patient.
  • Be sensitive to the needs of the families we serve.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Can work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and a passing criminal background check.
  • Must have a dependable vehicle, a current and valid Driver's License, and proof of current insurance.
  • Current and maintained Department of Transportation (DOT) health card (Family Pathways covers this cost).
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, close vision, ability to adjust focus, and see color.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Knowledge of and capable of using computers and navigating programs such as Microsoft Office.
