Summary:
Provides surveillance for infection control purposes. Identifies, investigates, and records data concerning nosocomial infections and infectious diseases. Initiates infection control measures as directed by infection control committee. Develops infection control policies and prevention programs.
Responsibilities:
Provides staff training and education.Maintains, records, tracks, and trends data concerning infections and infectious diseases.Uses standard methods and criteria for identifying infections.Investigates and monitors known or potential sources of suspected infections in order to determine source and ensure control.

Additional Job Information:

Required Work Experience: One (1) year of relevant healthcare experience required.
