Job description

GOAL
Advance the mission of Central Ohio Youth for Christ (COYFC), including affiliates and subsidiaries, by executing high-quality events and strategic marketing efforts that support financial goals and engage new individuals with the ministry.


KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Coordinate and execute core COYFC events, including See the Story, Be the Story, Over the Edge, Youth Guidance Golf Marathon, Partner Gatherings, and the COYFC Christmas Party
  • Maintain event systems, timelines, logistics, materials, and communication tools
  • Support donor and volunteer engagement through organized communication and event follow-up
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience while representing the ministry with professionalism and excellence

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Event Planning amp; Coordination

  • Develop and manage logistics, timelines, run-of-show documents, and project plans for all major events
  • Communicate effectively with venues, vendors, ministry partners, and volunteers
  • Prepare and organize event materials, gifts, supplies, and signage
  • Assist with tracking event budgets and processing vendor invoicing

Participant amp; Volunteer Communication

  • Support recruitment and communication with Table Captains, rappellers, golfers, and event partners
  • Schedule and distribute event invitations, reminders, and follow-up communications
  • Track RSVPs and prepare accurate attendee lists and materials

Event Marketing amp; Creative Support

  • Assist in creating event invitations, signage, email templates, and printed materials
  • Collaborate with marketing staff and COYFC ministries to highlight student stories and testimonies

Event Execution

  • Provide onsite support, including setup, guest services, volunteer coordination, registration, and teardown
  • Serve as a primary point of contact during events to ensure smooth operations
Spiritual Responsibilities:

Because COYFC and its subsidiaries are a part of the same faith-based organization and share a faith mission and set of values, we require all employees to consistently apply and live according to the religious mission and theological beliefs. Each staff member, regardless of role, is asked to:

  • Articulate and uphold COYFC religious beliefs and practices at work and outside of work. Each employee serves to represent the religious message and mission of COYFC (as outlined in the Statement of Faith and Mission) to the broader community.
  • Be ready and willing to lead and contribute to distinctly Christian activities such as devotional worship or prayer services.
  • Regularly pray for and share spiritual content with existing and prospective donors to COYFC as opportunities arise.
