Job description

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
2. Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
3. Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
4. Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
5. Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
3. Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.
